Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry Experience to own end‑to‑end telemetry workflows for Grafana Cloud. You will guide instrumentations paths, collaboration with remote teams, and ensure high‑quality data is actionable for customers and agents.

You will define strategy across SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector deployment, while leading cross‑functional efforts with engineering, design, and product marketing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management experience in developer tools/observability or related B2B domain.
• Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry, including SDK instrumentation, OTLP, Collector pipelines.
• Experience turning onboarding, configuration, and troubleshooting workflows into clear product experiences.
• Experience communicating across remote, globally distributed teams and with customers.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision, strategy, and cross‑product roadmap for the OpenTelemetry journey.
• Create coherent experiences across SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector deployment.
• Identify and resolve setup failures, misconfigurations, and telemetry quality issues.
• Establish shared experience principles and success criteria with engineering and product teams.
• Prioritize investments using customer research and product data to improve onboarding and activation.
• Partner with Grafana Cloud solution teams for a cohesive telemetry ingestion to activation flow.
• Contribute to market positioning, launches, and technical content for developer audiences.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Documentation, and GTM teams to deliver a differentiated OpenTelemetry experience.
