Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring a Backend Engineer for the Platform - Stacks team. This remote-first role supports Grafana Cloud stacks, working across regions and collaborating with AppCore squads to ensure reliable, scalable stack operations.

You will build control-plane services, reconcile stack state, and drive improvements in rollout and incident response. A strong focus on developer experience and interoperability across Grafana services is required.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of fully remote work experience.
Experience with SaaS platforms and distributed systems concepts.
Professional experience with Golang on backend services.
Care deeply about developer and user experience and code quality.
Experience delivering projects from brainstorming to shipping.
Ability to write clean, well-tested software.
Willing to collaborate across teams and across service boundaries.
Familiarity with Kubernetes in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience participating in blameless incident response and post-incident reviews.

Responsibilities

Write efficient, readable, and easy to maintain code.
Implement new microservices or systems.
Collaborate with teammates and other departments to reach consensus on proposed solutions.
Coordinate with product and UX when needed.
Respond to customer requests and feedback.
Participate in our follow-the-sun OnCall rotation.
Participate in team decisions, such as roadmap planning and prioritization.
