Job summary

Okta seeks a Staff Product Manager to own developer productivity as a product across the development lifecycle, incorporating AI-native and traditional tooling. You will interview engineers and leaders, map tooling frictions, baseline metrics, and own the roadmap with engineering leadership.

This is a highly technical, cross-functional role embedded with the productivity engineering team. You will drive adoption, clear security and privacy hurdles, and define standardized playbooks to scale

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience with developer platforms, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or AI products.
• Experience owning internal or platform products where users have alternatives — adoption driven through product quality rather than mandate.
• Strong understanding of modern software development workflows — source control, IDEs, CI/CD, testing, code review, observability, production operations.
• Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted software development — coding agents, context management, MCP, evaluation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, PRDs, and backlog for internal developer productivity and AI tooling.
• Drive build-vs-buy decisions with structured evaluations of inner- and outer-loop tooling.
• Embed with the team, define MVPs, manage sprints, and ship workflows.
• Measure adoption by linking tool usage to engineering outcomes (cycle time, quality, toil reduction).
