Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own developer productivity as a product across the development lifecycle—AI-native and traditional tooling. You will start with deep, bottom-up discovery, interview engineers, map tooling frictions, and baselinedev-cycle metrics.

You will own the roadmap with leadership, define tooling requirements, and drive cross-team adoption to maximize engineering outcomes. You will work closely with security, legal, and procurement to clearPathways and will build

Qualifications

• Experience defining vision, PRDs, and backlog for internal tooling.
• Ability to interview engineers, managers, and architects to map tooling and frictions.
• Experience measuring dev-cycle metrics and securing tooling budgets.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, backlog, and roadmap for internal developer productivity and AI tooling.
• Drive build vs. buy decisions and run evaluations of inner- and outer-loop tooling.
• Embed with the Productivity Engineering team, define MVP scopes and sprints.
• Measure adoption and outcomes by linking tool usage to engineering metrics.
• Coordinate standardization to reduce implementation diversity across teams.
