The role requires a Registered General Nurse with at least 5 years in the Irish healthcare system, proficient IT skills, and strong communication in a multidisciplinary environment. Opportunities for professional development and education are available.

Qualifications

• Be a Registered General Nurse on the current live register of the NMBI.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Irish healthcare system.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Good IT skills.
• Hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Hold a current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification, where applicable to the area of work.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care per guidelines and hospital policies.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care from admission to discharge.
• Administer medications safely and manage controlled drugs.
• Provide patient and relative support and communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise staff, mentor students and manage resources.
• Contribute to quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
• Support endoscopy procedures and conscious sedation monitoring.
• Report adverse incidents following hospital procedures.
