recruitNet is seeking a Staff Nurse for Medical Surgical Inpatient Units in Dublin, Ireland. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will hold NMBI registration (RGN) with at least 1 year surgical ward experience, and demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining patient safety and care standards.

Qualifications

• Current NMBI registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
• Minimum 1 year of surgical ward experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Flexible with internal rotations, night duties and on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centred nursing care to assigned patients, working independently within professional standards and NMBI guidelines.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, take patient histories, identify care needs, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and hospital policies.
• Monitor and document patients' clinical status and responses to treatment.
• Maintain accurate, confidential nursing records in line with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with medical, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care.
• Support ward operations, rostering, equipment safety, and performance reviews.
• Supervise and delegate appropriate duties and participate in ongoing professional development.
