Job summary

Nory is hiring its first Staff Mobile Engineer to lead the Platform team. You will shape the mobile app from ground up, own critical features, and drive a high-quality UX in challenging environments.

Expect to work across React Native, TypeScript, Python, AWS, and a design-system-driven approach with AI agents to move fast without compromising quality. The role emphasizes reliability on low-spec devices and patchy connectivity, with a remote-first setup and offices in Dublin, London, and Spain.

Qualifications

• Shipped production React Native apps in TypeScript.
• Experience implementing native features like push notifications, camera access or geolocation.
• Comfort reading and lightly extending backend services (FastAPI) when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the mobile platform end-to-end, from current state to full production rebuild.
• Make and defend UX calls when design input is lean.
• Set up a design system and AI agents to accelerate development.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineers across the business.
• Ensure reliability in low-signal environments and variable hardware.
