Job summary

Google Dublin is seeking an Engineering Manager for Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to lead AlphaNet Core SRE, overseeing Google's SDN architecture across campus and wide-area production networks. You will drive strategic efforts to improve network safety, guide SDN contributions, and mentor a high-performing team of engineers.

You will own service availability, reliability, and incident response tooling, while shaping on-call practices and root-cause analyses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of software development experience.
3+ years designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
3+ years of people management or leadership of teams.
3+ years of leading projects.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Software/Systems Engineers on projects for users and be responsible for uptime.
Own end-to-end availability and performance of key services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
Lead by example, mentor the team and establish credibility through quality technical execution.
Manage and participate in on-call rotations.
Design, write and deliver software to improve availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of Google's services.
