Job summary

Harvey Nash in Ireland is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to work with our engineering and product teams to build resilient systems, automate operations and continuously improve reliability. You will focus on high availability, automation, observability and incident management, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness and scalable, robust infrastructure.

This position values proactive risk reduction, blameless post-mortems and strong scripting skills

Qualifications

• Proven experience in site reliability engineering or cloud operations.
• Strong Linux/Unix and networking knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Proficient in Python, Bash or Go scripting.

• Support and maintain high-availability and fault-tolerant systems.
• Drive automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency.
• Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, metrics and observability.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Contribute to capacity planning, performance optimisation and scalability.
• Partner with development teams on production readiness and SRE best practices.
• Support CI/CD, containerisation and other DevOps initiatives.
• Participate in blameless post-mortems and drive preventative improvements.

You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams to build resilient systems, improve operational processes and proactively identify and mitigate reliability risks. This role is ideal for an SRE who enjoys automation, troubleshooting, observability and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps or Cloud Engineering
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and networking
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
• Programming/scripting experience with Python, Go, Bash or similar
• Understanding of CI/CD, containers and orchestration
• Experience with observability, monitoring and incident management
• Knowledge of high availability, scalability, disaster recovery and capacity planning
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
