Job summary

St. Joseph's Foundation is seeking a Sports and Recreation Supervisor (Basic Grade) to lead day-to-day recreation activities and supervise aquatic facilities. The role reports to the Sports Coordinator and requires a driving licence, lifeguard credentials, and experience in sports coaching.

The position involves 39 hours per week across day, evening and weekend shifts, with Sunday premiums. Candidates with disabilities experience and strong MS Office skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard qualification required.

• Pool Lifeguard Award level 2 or equivalent is desirable.
• Occupational First Aid certification is essential.

The Foundation provides services to children and adults, through day services, residential, respite care, and home support in the North Cork and South West Limerick region. We have day and residential services in various locations in the North Cork and North Limerick area; such as Charleville, Dromina, Newtownshandrum, Buttevant, Newmarket, Mitchelstown and Mallow, in Limerick; Ballylanders, , Ballyagran, Bruree, Bruff Croom Dromcollogher, Granagh Kilmallock, and Liskennett.

St. Joseph's Foundation is a lead agency in Cork Kerry Community Healthcare for the North West Cork and the North East Cork Children's Disability Network Teams. These teams provide services from 0-18 under the National Progressing Disability Services Programme and are based in Mallow and Fermoy.

• Lifeguard Qualification (Essential)
• A full Irish Driving Licence (Essential)
• Background in sports coaching or fitness instruction (Desirable)
• Pool Lifeguard Award level 2 of the Irish Water Safety Association or an equivalent award from a Nationally recognised water safety association. (Desirable)
• Occupational First Aid (Essential)
• Experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities (Desirable)
• Strong Microsoft office skills (Essential)
