Job summary

Stewarts Care in Ireland is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist on a permanent contract to join our established SLT team on the CDNT5. The role involves assessment, diagnostics and intervention for children with complex needs, delivering ongoing services to families, with professional supervision and CPD opportunities provided.

Qualifications

  • Practitioners must maintain annual CORU registration.

  • Experience of working with children and adolescents with a range of disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a speech and language service including assessment, diagnostics and intervention and ongoing service delivery to children with complex needs and their families.
  • Professional clinical supervision will be provided.

Speech and Language Therapist – Staff Grade – CDNT5

About Us

Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38. We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.

Purpose of the Post

Reporting to CDNT5 Manager the Speech and Language Therapist will on a Permanent contract The Speech and Language Therapist will join a well established SLT team on the CDNT and will be responsible for the provision of a speech and language service to include assessment diagnostics and intervention and ongoing service delivery to children with complex needs and their families.

Professional clinical supervision will be provided.

Continuous Professional Development opportunities will be provided.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Hold a qualification in Speech and Language Therapy approved by the Speech and Language Therapy Registration Board at CORU.
  • Practitioners must maintain annual CORU registration.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Effective planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience of working with children and adolescents with a range of disabilities.

Salary:

In line with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales, the current salary scale is Speech and Language Therapist €45,514 – €65,068 per annum (including LSI).
