Job summary

Enable Ireland is seeking Senior Grade Speech and Language Therapists to join our teams in Co. Wicklow.

The post covers a range of SLT services for young people 0–18 and their families within an interdisciplinary framework across clinics, preschools, schools, homes and community settings. The successful candidate will be registered with CORU or eligible, with at least 3 years post-qualification experience, and prepared for ongoing service development.

Qualifications

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by CORU.
• Have 3 years’ full time post-qualification clinical experience.
• Provide proof of statutory registration on the CORU register before contract.
• Eligible to work in the State.
• Annual registration with CORU required on appointment.
• Must confirm annual CORU registration to Enable Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of Speech and Language Therapy services for children 0–18 years and their families.
• Deliver assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and service development.

We are currently seeking highly-motivated Senior Grade Speech and Language Therapists to join our teams in Co. Wicklow.

Contract Type: Permanent and temporary roles.

Contract Hours: Full and part time hours.

Salary Scale:€62,072 - €73,477 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days per annum pro rata

Overview of the Post:

Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Speech and Language Therapy services for young people (0 – 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential Criteria:

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
• Have 3 years’ full time (or an aggregate of 3 years’ full time) post qualification clinical experience.
• Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
• Provide proof of statutory registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
• Eligible to work in the State.
• On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
• Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children with disabilities.
• Experience working with children with Eating, Drinking and Swallowing difficulties.
• Experience working with Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC).
