Job summary

A healthcare provider in Louth is seeking a motivated Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality therapy services, assess and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders, and collaborate with a dedicated team in an acute hospital setting. Qualifications

  • CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to inpatients and outpatients.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in service development and clinical audit as required.

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team at our client in an acute setting based in Louth. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic acute hospital environment, providing assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to patients with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to inpatients and outpatients.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in service development and clinical audit as required.

Essential Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist:

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience in acute hospital or medical settings.
  • Dysphagia training and experience.
