Job summary

PE Global Healthcare in Limerick is recruiting a Staff Grade Speech & Language Therapist to join a Children’s Disability Team. You will deliver assessments and bespoke therapy for children and young people in a family-centred, collaborative setting.

You will work with families, schools and a multidisciplinary team, receiving regular supervision and opportunities for professional development. A CORU registered SLT with strong communication and teamwork skills is essential; driving licence

Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
  • Current CORU registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Previous experience in paediatrics or disability services is desirable but not essential.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive communication and feeding/swallowing assessments where appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver individualised therapy programmes tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, schools and early years settings to maximise outcomes.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Social Workers and Medical professionals.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives with clinical supervision.

About the Role

As a Staff Grade Speech & Language Therapist, you will work with children and young people presenting with a range of developmental needs, delivering evidence-based assessment and intervention in a family-centred, collaborative environment.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Complete comprehensive communication and feeding/swallowing assessments where appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver individualised therapy programmes tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Work closely with families, carers, schools and early years settings to maximise outcomes.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Social Workers and Medical professionals.
