Job summary

ISS Recruitment & HR Services is recruiting on behalf of our client, a busy hospitality business based in Naas, Co. Kildare, for an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team.

The role requires strong pizza-making experience and a confident, capable chef to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef, maintain high food quality and service standards, and contribute to a positive kitchen atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef
• Strong pizza-making skills are essential
• Experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
• Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and HACCP
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Reliable, organised and professional approach
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen
• Prepare and cook high-quality food to a consistent standard
• Prepare and cook pizzas to a high standard
• Assist with food preparation and kitchen organisation
• Supervise and support junior kitchen staff
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and HACCP
• Monitor stock and minimise food waste
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
• Work effectively during busy service periods
• Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen environment
