Job summary

Okta Ireland is seeking a Solutions Engineer to partner with the sales team and customers across Ireland, Southern Africa, and Israel regions. You will conduct comprehensive discovery, build compelling demonstrations, and guide opportunities from discovery through technical win.

A strong background in identity protocols, APIs, and security is required, with travel to meet clients and events typical in this role.

Qualifications

Experience in a pre-sales role as Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer.
Ability to articulate complex ideas on the fly at a whiteboard.
Customer-facing experience in consulting, support, teaching, or pre-sales.
Experience with identity protocols (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP).
Strong development background in backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby) and frontend (React, Angular, Vue).
Experience with REST APIs and SDKs.
Understanding of core security concerns (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF).
Excellent communication and ability to convey business value.
Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Comprehensive discovery with customers and prospects to map requirements to outcomes.
Close partnership with the sales team to progress opportunities.
Manage technical sales progression from discovery to technical win.
Create sales presentations and product demonstrations for varied audiences.
Deliver custom demonstrations and support customer-led PoCs.
Identify and clarify customer technical needs and propose suitable Auth0 solutions.
Maintain deep technical knowledge of Auth0 products and underlying tech.
Engage in local and regional sales and marketing events.
Leverage AI-enabled customer experience concepts to drive value.
