Job summary

Harvey Nash in Dublin is seeking a Senior Manager – Software Engineering to lead a growing Core Custody team. You will own delivery and technology strategy, partnering with Product, Architecture and Engineering leadership to drive robust, scalable solutions.

The role is full-time with a hybrid work model (4 days onsite, 1 day remote). You will build and retain top talent while guiding cloud-native platforms and modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years software engineering experience.
• 5+ years direct engineering people management.
• Strong developer/software engineering background.
• Java/Spring Boot or .NET/C# backgrounds also considered.
• AWS/Azure, microservices, CI/CD and modern cloud engineering experience.
• Experience managing distributed teams.

• Lead and grow a team of 12 engineers, expanding to 16.
• Own engineering delivery and technology strategy across Core Custody applications.
• Partner with Product, Architecture and Engineering leadership.
• Build, develop and retain high-performing engineering teams.
• Oversee secure, scalable cloud-based platforms and modern engineering practices.
• Provide technical oversight without being hands-on day to day.

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years software engineering experience.
• 5+ years direct engineering people management.
• Strong developer/software engineering background.
• Java/Spring Boot or .NET/C# backgrounds also considered.
