Job summary

Harvey Nash is partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to appoint a Software Engineering Senior Manager in Dublin. You will lead a portfolio of applications and distributed engineering teams, shaping technical roadmaps and delivery that aligns with business strategy.

You will champion modern engineering practices, scale secure cloud-based solutions and recruit and mentor top talent across frontend and backend domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 7+ years' experience in software engineering, building scalable, secure and resilient web applications.
• 5+ years' experience managing software engineering teams.
• Proven experience leading distributed and remote engineering teams.
• Strong background in both frontend and backend software development.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-based platforms.
• Experience implementing modern software engineering methodologies, including:
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Automated testing
• Containerisation technologies
• Demonstrated success delivering mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for mentoring, coaching and developing engineering talent.

Responsibilities

This is a leadership role combining people management, software delivery, and strategic technology planning. You will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, cloud-based solutions that support critical business services.
