Role Summary
A Senior Manager to provide strategic oversight, leadership, and technical direction across a portfolio of core products and modules within our clients banking technology platform. This position leads multiple software engineering teams in the design, planning, and execution of large-scale initiatives, ensuring alignment with industry standards, operational performance, and enterprise risk requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Leadership: Direct multiple cross-functional development teams across various global locations and technology platforms. Oversee the overall architecture, design, and resourcing for complex projects.
- Project Delivery: Accountable for end-to-end software delivery-ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and in scope with low production defect rates.
- Financial & Resource Planning: Establish budgeting requirements, participate in annual IT financial planning, accurately estimate project scale, and manage team resources effectively.
- Production Support & Incident Management: Oversee system triage during P1/P2 incidents. Implement immediate mitigation steps to resolve issues while driving long-term strategic enhancements to ensure zero-downtime reliability.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all system audit and risk findings are remediated within mandated timelines. Ensure adherence to SDLC frameworks (Agile/Waterfall) and industry operational standards (e.g., ITIL).
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent. Actively manage team performance, foster technical growth, and build high-performing teams.
- Process Improvement: Drive organizational change, quality management, and continuous process improvement across cross-functional engineering units.
Qualifications & Requirements
Core Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's or advanced degree preferred).
- Technical Experience: 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience.
- Management Experience: 5+ years of experience directly managing software engineering teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial accounting concepts; experience in investment banking, hedge fund technology, or financial services is strongly preferred.
Desirable Technical Skills
- Cloud Infrastructure (e.g., AWS)
