Job summary

Quest Software in Cork offers an 8-month work placement for a motivated Computer Science student. You will join the Cork R&D team to learn and contribute to software development using Microsoft Azure, AI tooling, and modern programming languages.

This placement provides mentorship and potential future employment upon graduation. As an intern, you will work on an agile team, develop serverless SaaS components, and integrate Quest Data Solutions products.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in 3rd year of a Computer Science or related program.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Generative AI experience.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on an R&D team building serverless, cloud-native SaaS solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will:

• Work on an R&D team building serverless, cloud-native SaaS solutions using the latest Microsoft Azure technologies and AI tooling.
• Build commercial products that integrate Quest Data Solutions products.
• Be an active member of an agile team, writing high-quality code that meets business requirements, with AI at the center for the Software Delivery Lifecycle.

• Work with tools and languages such as node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, GitHub.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Currently enrolled in 3 rd year of a Computer Science or related program.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Generative AI experience.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable

• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, and web development frameworks.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and version control tools (e.g., Git).
