Job summary

Quest Software in Cork is offering an 8-month Software Engineering Intern placement in our Cork office. You will join an R&D team to build serverless, cloud-native SaaS solutions using Azure technologies and emerging AI tooling.

You will contribute to real-world projects, receive mentorship, and work in an agile environment using Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and GitHub. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will:

• Work on an R&D team building serverless, cloud-native SaaS solutions using the latest Microsoft Azure technologies and AI tooling.
• Build commercial products that integrate Quest Data Solutions products.
• Be an active member of an agile team, writing high-quality code that meets business requirements, with AI at the center for the Software Delivery Lifecycle.
• Receive mentorship and participate in code reviews to grow your technical skills..
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to real-world projects.
• Work with tools and languages such as node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, GitHub.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Currently enrolled in 3rd year of a Computer Science or related program.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Generative AI experience.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, and web development frameworks.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and version control tools (e.g., Git).
