Job summary

Muiriosa Foundation in Tipperary seeks Social Care Worker / Support Worker for residential services in Moyne and Ardfinnan. You will support individuals with independent living and community inclusion, promoting health and wellbeing.

Role includes day/evening/overnight shifts (sleepovers and waking nights) within a CORU-registered, Level 7 qualified team. Driving licence and HIQA knowledge are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Social Care (Level 7) CORU approved.
• CORU registration or in progress.
• Valid Irish driving licence (manual).
• Experience with intellectual disabilities/autism.

Responsibilities

SOCIAL CARE WORKER - SUPPORT WORKER

TIPPRARY RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

(Contract hours 60 hours per fortnight)

We are recruiting for a Social Care Worker / Support Worker to join us in our Tipperary Residential Services. We have services in Moyne and Ardfinnan, Tipperary.

The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to support individuals with independent living skills, community inclusion and the promotion of their personal health and wellbeing. Our wide variety of services provide full time residential support to individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities/autism in both individualized and group settings.

The shift patterns include day/evening/overnight (sleepovers and waking night duty)

Requirements

• Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care/Disability/social Care Practice (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications) which are CORU approved. Please note Social Care candidates must be registered with or in the process of registering with CORU.
• A valid driving licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
• Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities/autism.
• Knowledge of HIQA Standards.
• Good connections in the local community an advantage.
• Ability to use own initiative and plan effectively.
• Minimum basic level IT Skills, using email, word doc and systems.
• Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role

Payscales (HSE Consolidated scales)

Social Care Worker €41,260 - €57,789

Support Worker €34,881 to €48,434
