Job summary

Muiríosa Foundation is recruiting for a Staff Nurse, Social Care Worker and Support Worker to join our Tipperary Residential Services in Moyne and Ardfinnan. This role offers relief shifts on a permanent basis to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in both independent living and group settings.

You will work as part of a local team, oversee health and wellbeing, assist with daily living skills, and promote community inclusion.

Qualifications

• Nurse candidates must be NMBI Registered with a relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care/Disability/ Social Care Practice (Level 7 on NFQ) CORU approved; Social Care candidates must be registered with or in the process of registering with CORU.
• Support worker candidates must have a QQI Level 5 HSE approved award or be willing to undertake.
• A valid driving licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
• Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities/autism.
• Knowledge of HIQA Standards.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with independent living skills, community inclusion and health/wellbeing.
• Provide full-time residential support in both individualized and group settings.
• Work as part of a team to implement person-centred plans.
• Participate in shift patterns including day/evening/overnight (sleepovers and waking night duty).

Skills and attributes

• Knowledge of HIQA Standards
• Experience in Intellectual Disability and/or autism
• suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role
• A valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland
• Minimum basic level IT Skills
• Support workers have HSE approved QQI Level 5 qualification or be willing to complete
• Nurse candidates must be on the NMBI Registrar

We are recruiting for a Social Care Worker / Support Worker to join us in our Tipperary Residential Services. We have services in Moyne and Ardfinnan, Tipperary.

The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to support individuals with independent living skills, community inclusion and the promotion of their personal health and wellbeing. Our wide variety of services provide full time residential support to individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities/autism in both individualized and group settings.

The shift patterns include day/evening/overnight (sleepovers and waking night duty)

Requirements

• Nurse candidates must be NMBI Registered - Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care/Disability/social Care Practice (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications) which are CORU approved. Please note Social Care candidates must be registered with or in the process of registering with CORU. Support worker candidates must have a QQI Level 5 HSE approved award or be willing to undertake.
• A valid driving licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
• Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities/autism.
• Knowledge of HIQA Standards.
• Good connections in the local community an advantage.
• Ability to use own initiative and plan effectively.
• Minimum basic level IT Skills, using email, word doc and systems.
• Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role
