Job summary

Delta Centre CLG in Ireland is seeking a Social Care Worker for the on-site role at Strawhall, Carlow. The position is permanent and full-time, with responsibilities to provide day-to-day personal care and support to residents with intellectual disabilities in a compassionate, rights-based framework.

You will work within Delta Centre policies and national standards, building person-centred plans, maintaining records, and promoting independence and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Degree level 7/8 qualification in Social Care or Social Studies is required.
• CORU registration or CORU application submission is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day personal care and support for Delta Centre residents.
• Review and implement Person-Centred Plans for residents.
• Participate in reviews of care protocols and plans.
• Facilitate residents' communication needs and independence.
• Establish trusting relationships with residents and respect their rights.
• Adhere to Delta Centre policies, HIQA/HSE standards and safeguarding policies.
• Support residents to identify future aspirations and document needs.
• Promote community involvement and empowerment.
