Job summary

Delta Centre CLG is seeking a Social Care Practitioner to support residents with intellectual disabilities at Strawhall, Carlow. The role focuses on person-centred care, dignity and independence, and adherence to HIQA and national policies.

The successful candidate will have a Level 7+ qualification in a health-related field and proven social care experience, with good communication and documentation skills. A 7-day roster, shift work, and generous benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care for adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day personal care and support to residents.
• Implement person-centred plans and review care protocols.

• Promote dignity, independence and rights of residents.
• Foster safe, respectful relationships with residents and colleagues.
