Job summary

Delta Services is seeking a Staff Nurse to deliver holistic, person-centred nursing care for residents with intellectual, physical or sensory disabilities at Strawhall, Carlow. The on-site, permanent role involves assessments, developing and evaluating individual care plans, and supporting residents to access GP, hospital and therapy services.

You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as RNID or RGN, hold a full driving licence, and commit to HIQA standards

Qualifications

• NMBI registration required (RNID or RGN).
• Full clean Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care in accordance with residents' needs and care plans.
• Support residents to attend GP, hospital, outpatient, therapy and other healthcare appointments.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
• Provide specialist nursing interventions including catheter care, PEG feeding, medication administration and wound care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation meeting standards.
• Collaborate with families, GPs, allied health professionals and the multidisciplinary team.
• Support HIQA standards, policies and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in audits, clinical governance and incident review processes.
