Job summary

St. Michael’s House in Dublin is recruiting Social Care Workers for Residential & Day Services. Full Time and Part Time permanent contracts are available in North Dublin service area 2.

The role focuses on delivering a person-centred service to adults with intellectual disabilities, working with a skilled team and families. You will act as a key worker, implement positive behaviour support plans, ensure quality standards, and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7 BA in Applied Social Studies (Disability) required.
• CORU registration or in progress required for Social Care Worker roles.
• Level 7 awards in Social Care will be considered if CORU approved.

Responsibilities

• Work as a key worker, identify supports and collaborate with individuals and families.
• Deliver a high quality service and maintain professional standards.
• Implement positive behaviour support and person-centred plans.
• Report to Social Care Leader and Service Manager; escalate issues.
• Promote rights of people in service and foster a human-rights culture.
• Attend staff meetings and case reviews; participate in required meetings.
• Provide written and verbal progress reports on individuals' development.
• Co-operate with inspections and implement recommendations.
