Job summary

Avista CLG invites applications for the Avista Community Residential in Roscrea, North Tipperary/South Offaly. The role requires CORU eligibility, a QQI Level 7 in Social Care or equivalent, and a full clean Irish driving licence.

Candidates should have experience in intellectual disability and a person-centred approach to help people live their best lives. Applicants should be willing to support skill development and be aware of Avista’s competency framework.

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

• QQI Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or equivalent, the award must be considered eligible for CORU registration.
• Up to date CORU registration/ Confirmation of application for registration submitted to CORU
• Full clean Irish manual driving licence.
• Experience of working within the area of intellectual disability and those who have behaviours of concern.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• To adopt a holistic and person centre approach to your role to ensure people are supported to live their best lives and an awareness of New Directions.
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.

*Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioral competencies of Avista competency framework.
