Job summary

Avista, a person-centred organisation delivering Day, Residential and Respite supports, invites applications for a permanent full-time Care Assistant at Kilbride, Children’s Residential Services, Co. Meath. Salary: €34,881-€48,434 (lsi).

39 hours weekly, subject to public sector experience. Applicants should hold QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent, have experience with intellectual disability and autism, a full Irish driving licence, and strong English language skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Fully Completed FETAC/QQI level 5 in Healthcare qualification or (higher) equivalent comparable qualification.
• Experience working within intellectual disability and with Autism and Behaviours of Concern.
• Full clean manual Irish driving licence.
• Proficiency in the English language.

CARE ASSISTANT

Permanent full-time (39 hours per week)

Salary: €34,881-€48,434* (lsi)

Essential

• Minimum of Fully Completed FETAC/QQI level 5 in Healthcare qualification or (higher) equivalent comparable qualification.
• Experience working within the area of intellectual disability and of working with people who have a diagnosis of Autism and Behaviours of Concern.
• Full clean manual irish driving licence.
• Proficiency in the English language.

• Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation of Service Users in their local communities.
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.
