Job summary

Avista invites applications for the Avista Community Residential Rosc rea in North Tipperary/South Offaly, supporting people with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting.

The role requires a CORU-eligible Social Care qualification, a full clean Irish driving licence, and a strong commitment to a person-centred, holistic approach, including awareness of New Directions and a focus on developing residents’ skills and interests.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7 in Social Care or equivalent, CORU eligibility.
• CORU registration or application submitted.
• Full clean Irish manual driving licence.
• Experience in intellectual disability and behaviours of concern.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Holistic, person-centred approach; awareness of New Directions.
• Willingness to develop skills and competencies in identified areas.
• Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista framework.

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

• QQI Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or equivalent, the award must be considered eligible for CORU registration.
• Up to date CORU registration/ Confirmation of application for registration submitted to CORU
• Full clean Irish manual driving licence.
• Experience of working within the area of intellectual disability and those who have behaviours of concern.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• To adopt a holistic and person centre approach to your role to ensure people are supported to live their best lives and an awareness of New Directions.
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.

*Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioral competencies of Avista competency framework.
