Job summary

Daffodil Care Services is recruiting a Social Care Manager for a mainstream residential care service in Dunleer, Co. Louth.

You will manage the residential centre and lead a team of Social Care Workers and Social Care Leaders, working with the Director of Services to promote professional social care that delivers positive outcomes for young people and families. The role emphasises empowerment, leadership, and maintaining high standards of care, with a requirement for a full clean driving license

Qualifications

• A minimum level 8 degree in Social Care and 3 years’ post qualification work experience in a children’s residential care setting.
• Level 7 in Social Care and a relevant management qualification and 4 years’ post qualification work experience in a children’s residential care setting.
• Strong experience in and demonstrated ability to empower others to achieve.
• Personal attributes of positivity, flexibility and problem-solving attitude as well as empathy and maturity are essential.
• A current full clean Driving License prior to commencement of employment.

Working closely with the Director of Services you will also be responsible for the modelling, leading, development and promotion of professional social care that delivers positive outcomes for young people and their families.

About the role

The successful candidate will possess:
