Job summary

Lotus Care is recruiting for a Social Care Assistant to work full-time on a permanent basis in the Kildare region. You will provide person-centred care, support daily living skills, and work to meet individual care plans while adhering to relevant standards.

The role includes driving a company car when required, Garda Vetting, and opportunities for mentoring and CPD support. Stable hours and a single work location are emphasised in the benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 5 qualification in Social or Health Care Studies.
• Hold a full Irish driving license (to drive a company car, when required).
• Prior experience in social care or healthcare desirable but not essential.
• Working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
• Excellent English essential (verbal and written skills).
• Garda Vetting/Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and encourage decision-making, independence, and personal development.
• Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.
• Work in a person-centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
• Administer and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.
• Undertake key worker responsibilities, helping service owners achieve goals.
• Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.
• Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.

• Contract Type: Full-time
• Working Week: Average of 42 hours a week,
• Location of Work: Kildare Region

Role Responsibilities
