Job summary

Lotus Care invites applications for a full-time role at our Athlone site. You will support individuals with disabilities in a home-like community, focusing on daily living skills and person-centred care. The role includes medication dispensation, policy adherence and collaboration with the MDT to meet individual goals.

Essential requirements include QQI Level 5 in Healthcare, a valid Irish driving license and Garda Vetting. A commitment to ongoing training and HIQA standards is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 (8 modules) in Healthcare or equivalent.
• Hold a full Irish driving license.
• Prior experience in social care or healthcare.
• Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
• Garda Vetting/Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and encourage decision-making, independence, and personal development.
• Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.
• Work in a person-centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
• Administer and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.
• Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.
• Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.
