Job summary

Lotus Care is seeking a Social Care Assistant for a permanent, full-time role based in Kildare. This position offers a single-site location, a 42-hour week, and guaranteed hours, reducing travel and wear on personal vehicle.

You will support residents with daily living, promote independence, document care, and work to service plans. Applicants should have a minimum Level 5 qualification in Social or Health Care Studies, hold a full Irish driving license, be Garda vetted, and have excellent

• Full Irish driving license.
• Experience in social care or healthcare desirable but not essential.
• Excellent English (verbal and written).
• Garda Vetting/Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and encourage decision-making, independence, and personal development.
• Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.
• Work in a person-centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice
• Administer and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.
• Undertake key worker responsibilities, helping service owners achieve goals.
• Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.
• Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.

Role Overview

• Reporting to: Person in Charge
• Contract Type: Full-time
• Working Week: Average of 42 hours a week,
• Location of Work: Kildare Region

Role Responsibilities
