Job summary

Lotus Care is offering full-time contracts with a guaranteed 42-hour week at a single location in Portarlington, Co. Laois. The role provides support to vulnerable individuals in a dedicated setting with on-site parking and numerous benefits.

Location options include Athlone, Tullamore, and surrounding areas. Garda Vetting is required, and driving may be needed for company vehicles. Salary ranges from €35,000 to €50,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 5 qualification in Social or Health Care Studies.
• Full Irish driving license (to drive a company car, when required).
• Garda Vetting/Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and encourage decision-making, independence, and personal development.
• Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.
• Work in a person-centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
• Administer and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.
• Undertake key worker responsibilities, helping service owners achieve goals.
• Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.
• Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.

Role Overview

• Working Week: Average of 42 hours a week, (day and waking night shifts required
• Location of Work: Portarlington, Co. Laois

Role Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Minimum Level 5 qualification in Social or Health Care Studies

• Prior experience in social care or healthcare desirable but not essential
• Working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
• Excellent English essential (verbal and written skills)
