Job summary

PTSB in Dublin is seeking a Business Banking Manager to originate, assess and deliver banking products to SME customers, with a focus on business lending in the Dublin and national SME market. The role combines territory management with lending expertise to meet growth targets.

You will build relationships, evaluate credit proposals, and collaborate with branches to provide proactive service while adhering to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum competency requirements: fully Qualified Financial Advisor
• Third level qualification in a relevant discipline
• Accountancy qualification or background
• Proven track record of business origination and relationship management
• Strong customer engagement, information gathering and needs analysis
• Knowledge of credit risk assessment and risk pricing models
• Debt structuring and loan documentation

Responsibilities

• Originate, advise and manage a portfolio of Business customers
• Provide proactive and reactive service to meet financial arrangements
• Advise customers throughout their product journey
• Achieve targets including well managed loan growth
• Engage SME community and support branches in SME banking
• Identify, evaluate and recommend lending opportunities
• Structure and negotiate creditworthy proposals
• Leverage channels to deliver cost-effective services
• Collaborate on SME Banking performance metrics and scorecards
• Monitor portfolio growth and risk concentrations
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of SME banking
• Conduct regular performance reviews and development plans
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
• Manage customer complaints when required
