Job summary

Bean Town Cafe Limited at 1a Farranlea Park, Model Farm Road, Cork is seeking a Baker to produce, bake, and present a wide range of fresh bakery products to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and food safety while delivering excellent customer service and contributing to the overall success of the store’s bakery department.

The role is based in Cork, Ireland, with 39 hours per week at €18.05 per hour (€36,605 per year).

Qualifications

• Prepare, bake, and finish breads, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods to store and customer standards.
• Ensure freshness and quality of all bakery products by following baking schedules and recipes.
• Monitor stock levels, rotate products, and minimise waste through proper planning and storage.
• Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with HACCP and store policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and finish breads, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods to store and customer standards.

• Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service to customers, including handling special orders.
• Assist in the display and merchandising of bakery products to maximise sales and maintain an attractive presentation.
• Work as part of the bakery team to achieve daily production targets and support other departments when required.
• Follow all company health and safety guidelines and report any hazards or maintenance issues.
