Job summary

Ratio Recruitment is assisting a leading Irish construction client to appoint an experienced Site Manager for a long-term project in Ennis, Co. Clare. The role focuses on overseeing onsite operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring regulatory compliance and QA checks.

You will work closely with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyors, manage budgets, liaise with head office and clients, and drive safety and delivery milestones from site to completion.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of managing large construction projects in Ireland or the UK.
• Solid knowledge of building regulations.
• IT literate.
• Good leadership skills.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing construction operations onsite.
• Ensuring that work complies with building regulations.
• Working with an appointed safety manager to ensure all safety regulations are being adhered to.
• Co-ordinating day to day site activities and nominated sub-contractors.
• Liaising with Head office to ensure materials and labour are requested to site when required.
• Carrying out Daily & weekly safety checks and ensuring appointed sub-contractors are adhering to safety protocol.
• Monitoring the construction programme and enabling the subcontractors to carry out their works in accordance with their contract programme.
• Ensuring quality checks are carried out at various stages of the build & ensuring QA checks are being carried out.
• Dealing with any day-to-day issues which could hold up work as they arise.
• Liaising closely with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyors regarding budgets.
• Liaising with clients and keeping them updated on progress and upcoming milestones.
• Organise and liaise with the factory to schedule deliveries
