Job summary

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Site Managers to join a leading Irish construction contractor delivering a range of high-quality residential, commercial, and civil engineering projects.

As Site Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive successful project delivery while maintaining strong Health & Safety and quality performance across site activities.

For larger or more complex developments, you may operate as part of a wider site management team, while on smaller projects you will take full responsibility for site operations from commencement through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily site operations and coordinate all construction activities.
  • Lead and motivate site teams to achieve project objectives safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour on site.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that may impact programme delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, local authorities, and project stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage site resources, materials, and equipment requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout all phases of construction.
  • Identify risks and implement solutions to minimise delays and cost impacts.

  • Flexible, adaptable, and capable of making confident decisions under pressure.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Relevant third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or a recognised trade background.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Management position within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing construction projects from start to completion.
  • Thorough understanding of current Irish building regulations and certification requirements.
  • Experience working with both main contractors and subcontractors.
  • Full driving licence preferred.
