Job summary

E-Frontiers is recruiting for a Site Manager to oversee a major project in Galway. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget and to the highest quality standards.

This permanent role offers strong career progression within a well-established contractor with a solid pipeline of work in the West of Ireland.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Experience delivering commercial, residential or mixed-use projects.
• Knowledge of Irish building regulations and health & safety standards.
• Strong leadership and people management abilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections and quality control checks.
• Chair site meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure works follow drawings and technical specifications.
• Oversee snagging, commissioning and handover processes.

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading main contractor delivering high-quality commercial, residential and mixed-use developments across the West of Ireland.

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a major construction project in Galway. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day site operations from groundworks through to completion.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour on site.
• Ensure the project is delivered in line with programme, specifications and budget.
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Monitor progress and proactively address any delays or issues on site.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors.
• Conduct daily site inspections and quality control checks.
• Chair site meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with drawings and technical specifications.
• Oversee snagging, commissioning and handover processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Strong track record delivering commercial, residential or mixed-use projects.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site coordination.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and competing priorities.
• Solid understanding of Irish building regulations and health & safety standards.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management systems.

Desirable

• Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering large-scale projects in Ireland.
• Trade or engineering background advantageous.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications.
• First Aid certification.
