Job summary

Careeriser-Limited is seeking a Senior Site Manager for a large-scale residential and commercial project in Cork, Ireland. You will lead daily site operations, supervise subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with engineering and design teams to meet milestones.

The role requires a degree or higher diploma in Engineering or Construction Management and at least 5 years of construction experience across healthcare, commercial, or residential sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• 5+ years' experience in healthcare / commercial / residential construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring all works are completed safely, on schedule and to specification.
• Supervise subcontractors, trades and direct labour to drive productivity and maintain programme targets.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and key milestones.
• Maintain and enforce health & safety standards in line with company procedures and statutory requirements.
• Ensure high-quality delivery through regular inspections and robust quality control processes.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Engineers and design team to align activities and resolve site issues.
• Oversee site logistics, including materials and plant, to optimise procurement and resource utilisation.
• Keep detailed daily records and progress reports, ensuring clear and consistent communication with senior management.
• Assist in the identification and management of project variations alongside the team.
• Chair site meetings, daily briefings and toolbox talks to promote effective communication and coordination
