Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking Site/Setting Out Engineers to join a leading Irish civil contractor working on data centre projects in Berlin and Frankfurt. You will manage parts of construction projects, oversee site work, and set out, with strong CAD/MS Office skills.

Applicants should hold a Civil Engineering degree, have 3–5+ years in EU civils, and possess a valid driving licence. Salary is circa €70k–€80k with flights, accommodation and transport provided.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• EU passport holders only.
• 3–5+ years civil EU project experience.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing parts of construction projects.
• Overseeing building work on sites.
• Undertaking surveys and setting out sites.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy.
• Supervising contracted staff on site.
• Ensuring packages meet specifications, budgets and timescales.
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and QS/PMs.
• Providing technical advice and solving on-site problems.
• Preparing site reports and paperwork.
• Coordinating materials pricing with QSs.
• Adhering to health, safety and sustainability policies.

Site/Setting Out Engineersrequired to join one of Ireland’s leading Civil Contractors working on Data Centre projects in Berlin and Frankfurt.

Role:

• Managing parts of construction projects
• Overseeing building work
• Undertaking surveys
• Setting out sites
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
• Supervising contracted staff
• Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
• Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
• Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
• Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and the pricing of materials
• Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.

Requirements:

• Must hold an EU Passport
• Must hold a degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Preferably 3-5 years+ experience on civils projects in EU
• Full drivers licence

Salary

• Salary circa €70k - €80k DOE
