Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is recruiting a Site Engineer for a leading Civil Engineering contractor in Cavan to work on a new residential project. The role focuses on setting out, surveying, and overseeing on-site construction activities to ensure quality and compliance.

You will use AutoCAD and MS Office, with GPS/Total Station experience, and collaborate with procurement and commercial teams. A Civil Engineering degree and a minimum of 2 years’ Irish/UK civil experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a Civil Engineering degree and at least 2 years' experience on Civil Engineering projects in Ireland or the UK.
• Experience setting out using GPS and total station is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is required.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and overseeing construction work on site.
• Carry out site surveying and record keeping.
• Check technical designs and drawings to ensure correct implementation.
• Assist procurement and commercial departments as needed.
• Complete SHEQ forms and track site records.
• Record labour and plant usage and returns.
• Perform general site civil engineering daily tasks.

Job description

A leading Civil Engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team in Cavan. They have experience in all aspects of Civil Engineering, Construction, Motorway Service Stations, Site Development, Demolition, Sports Pitch Development and Land Drainage. The successful candidate will be working on a new residential project.

Role:

• Setting out
• Overseeing building work
• Site surveying
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
• Assisting the procurement department
• Assisting the commercial department.
• Completing SHEQ forms
• Tracking site records
• Completing labour and plant returns
• General site civil engineering daily tasks

Requirements:

• Must hold a degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Must have a minimum 2-years recent experience on Civil Engineeringprojects in Ireland or the UK
• Must have knowledge setting out equipment including GPS, site engineer level, total station
• Excellent MS Office skills
