Job summary

Lumen Search Ltd. is seeking a Site Engineer for a 91-unit residential development in Co. Wexford. You will take responsibility for remaining setting-out, quality control, inspections and maintaining accurate site records as the project progresses.

You will work closely with the Site Manager, subcontractors and the design team, owning technical and quality aspects and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications on site.

Qualifications

• Relevant Civil/Construction Engineering qualification.
• Residential construction experience preferred.
• Strong setting-out and surveying knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Good QA/QC procedures and site documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out remaining setting-out requirements across the development.
• Complete quality checks and inspections throughout the works.
• Maintain accurate QA records, site documentation and as-built information.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise on site.
• Liaise with the Site Manager, subcontractors, consultants and design team.
• Monitor works to ensure they are completed in accordance with drawings and required standards.
• Assist with inspections, snagging and close-out of quality items.
• Maintain accurate records of works completed on site.
• Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day technical delivery of the project.

The Role

An established Main Contractor is looking to appoint a Site Engineer for a 91-unit residential development in Co. Wexford. The project is already well progressed from a groundworks perspective, with much of the initial works completed. The Site Engineer will have responsibility for the remaining setting-out requirements, quality control, inspections and maintaining accurate site records as the development progresses.

The role would suit an Engineer with residential experience who is comfortable working closely with the Site Manager, subcontractors and design team and taking ownership of the technical and quality aspects of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
