Job summary

RT.Lane is seeking a Site Engineer for a Gorey, Co. Wexford construction site with at least three years of experience. The role focuses on setting out and maintaining correct levels across the site.

You will liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and the workforce to ensure accuracy. Reading and interpreting drawings, planning works to meet program targets, and maintaining site records are key duties.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree with minimum three years’ experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Overall engineering function on site with emphasis on setting out and correct levels across the site.
• Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and the workforce to promote accuracy of information.
• Reviewing design details and communicating with designers to ensure adequate information for construction.
• Coordinating development of design from designer’s details to approved workshop drawings and information from subcontractors.
• Reading and interpreting drawings for layouts and materials measure.
• Plan works to meet program targets while ensuring safety, quality and integrity.
• Order and control of materials on site and maintain site records.
• Check plans and setting-out coordination; attend regular team meetings and BCAR coordination.

Site Engineer urgently required for a role in Gorey .

• Responsible for the overall engineering function on site with particular emphasis on setting out and implementation of correct levels across the site.
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and the general workforce involved in the project to promote the accuracy of the information.
• Reviewing detailed design and where necessary to critique and communicate with designers to ensure adequate information is available for construction.
• Coordinating the development of design from designer’s details to approved workshop drawings and technical information from subcontractors.
• Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
• Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved without compromising on safety, quality or integrity.
• Ordering and control of materials on site.
• Maintaining site records pertaining to the engineering function.
• Checking plans, drawings and implementation of setting out coordination.
• Attending regular meetings with the team and interacting continuously.
• Safety, Sustainability and Quality management coupled with BCAR co-ordination.
• Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site and ensuring that regulations, best practice and internal standards are adhered to and achieved.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Engineering Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
• Methodical practitioner with exceptional and demonstrated technical and problem-solving skills.
• Client/Consultant interface with regards to the engineering function.
• Confident in supervising site works and engaging with the team.
• Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
• Strong communication skills – oral and written. Fluency in English is required.
