Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with the day-to-day delivery of the 89-unit residential development.
• Coordinate site activities, subcontractors and direct labour to ensure works progress in line with programme.
• Work closely with the engineering team on technical issues, drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Assist with short-term programming and planning of upcoming works.
• Coordinate with the design team, consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or issues at an early stage.
• Ensure works are completed to the required quality standards and in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Support procurement and ensure materials and subcontractor packages are coordinated with the construction programme.
• Assist with site meetings, progress reporting and project documentation.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety across the development.
• Support snagging, quality control and handover as the project progresses.

The Role

An established Irish main contractor is looking to appoint a Junior Project Manager for an 89-unit residential development in Gorey, Co. Wexford.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, assisting with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of the development while taking increasing responsibility as the project progresses.

This would suit an experienced Site Engineer, Senior Engineer, Site Manager or Assistant Project Manager with a strong residential background who is looking to take the next step into Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with the day-to-day delivery of the 89-unit residential development.
• Coordinate site activities, subcontractors and direct labour to ensure works progress in line with programme.

Experience Required

• Previous experience working on residential construction projects in Ireland.
• Experience with a main contractor or residential developer would be advantageous.
• Background in Site Engineering, Senior Engineering, Site Management or Assistant/Junior Project Management.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing and site operations.
• Comfortable coordinating subcontractors and dealing with technical and design issues.
• Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work closely with the Project Manager while taking ownership of elements of the project.
