Job summary

STRIVE Search is seeking a Site Engineer for a Leopardstown project in South Dublin. The candidate will play a pivotal role in reviewing plans, supervising groundworks, and coordinating with consultants and on-site teams to ensure compliance and progress.

The successful engineer will oversee health and safety, ensure BCAR compliance, and identify practical solutions to technical challenges, with a track toward site management and long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related discipline).
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer, ideally with a leading developer and/or main contractor.
• Solid understanding of current Irish building regulations and certification standards.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, drawings, and quantities to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Oversee and interpret design documents provided by the client, architect, or design team.
• Coordinate and maintain communication with consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and on-site teams.
• Supervise and track progress of groundworks and civil engineering contractors.
• Identify and resolve unforeseen technical issues or challenges that arise during construction.
• Manage and coordinate all health and safety activities to ensure site compliance.
• Oversee quality control processes and ensure adherence to BCAR requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing plans, drawings, and quantities to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications
• Overseeing and interpreting design documents provided by the client, architect, or design team
• Coordinating and maintaining communication with consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and on-site teams
