BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Site Engineer to join our building project in Carlow. You will set out the works, interpret drawings and specifications, relay information to foremen and subcontractors, and maintain the site diary.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years’ experience in setting out or as a site engineer and a third level engineering qualification. You will work with a main contractor and uphold health and safety standards; proficiency with MS Office and project software is

Formación

• Third level qualification in Engineering.
• 2+ years’ experience in setting out or site engineer.
• Experience with main contractor or subcontractor is preferred.
• Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project software (MS Project).

Responsabilidades

• Set out the works and ensure foremen and operatives understand the information provided.
• Disseminate information from drawings, specifications, etc. to foremen, operatives, subcontractors who clearly understand what is required.
• Test materials as directed by supervisor/line manager in accordance with specifications.
• Record all daily activities, relevant information and occurrences in the site diary.
• Record and report on work progress including that of subcontractors to the manager.
• Pursue your own development and training, completing the work-based development programme.
• Conduct your work in a safe manner – report those who do not.
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all personnel.
• Monitor and check setting out instruments and testing equipment.
• Maximise profit through day-to-day actions: accuracy and avoiding rework.
• Follow directions and attend meetings as required.
