Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Engineer for a Cork project. You will lead site engineering, review drawings, manage setting-out, ensure quality, and uphold safety and environmental standards.

You’ll coordinate subcontractors and site teams, monitor progress against schedules, report on risks and mitigations, and support design coordination and handover activities. A degree in civil engineering and 5–8 years of relevant experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• Minimum 5–8 years' experience in civil engineering or construction.
• Strong knowledge of Irish construction regulations and industry standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, total stations, GPS surveying, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Site supervision and engineering coordination.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Program monitoring and reporting.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers.
• Lead health and safety on site.
