Job summary
BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Site Engineer for Waterford to lead setting out and supervision on complex civil and infrastructure projects. You will coordinate foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and safety requirements.
The role requires an Engineering degree, proven site experience, and strong communication. You will work in a busy site environment with a focus on safe, efficient execution and collaboration with the project team.
Qualifications
- A third level qualification in Engineering.
- Proven experience as Site Engineer or setting out on large construction sites.
- Experience with main contractors or similar.
- Experience managing traffic on large sites.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Set out works and ensure foremen/operatives understand information.
- Review information from drawings/specifications to foremen and subcontractors.
- Test materials as directed relative to specifications.
- Conduct quality reviews on site for rebar and concrete placement.
- Direct subcontractors where appropriate on site.
- Prepare technical method statements for works.
